Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking a Regional Wastewater Network Planning Manager to lead 0-5 year asset planning across the Greater Dublin Area and adjacent regions. The role involves developing capital investment plans, assessing capacity for growth, and coordinating maintenance investment in line with asset standards.

You will champion cross-functional collaboration, drive continuous improvement, and shape long-term wastewater strategies, CSO management, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the design, assessment and delivery of complex wastewater network infrastructure.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable.
• Demonstrated people management experience with change management and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify problems and propose improvements.
• Experience of developing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Leadership and transformation experience in a utility or similar environment.
• Ability to address poor practice and foster cooperation to achieve goals.
• Experience in supporting policies, systems and controls and driving policy implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop the 0-5 year capital investment plan for wastewater network assets.
• Assess system capacity and feasibility for significant new connections and related investments.
• Input into capital maintenance investment decisions in line with asset standards.
• Lead and chair the Regional Wastewater Forum and coordinate activities across asset functions.
• Coordinate asset planning across functions and promote data sharing for a single source of truth.
• Develop Asset Management Plans at the agglomeration level for 0-5 year timelines.
• Support continuous improvement through regional forums and stakeholder engagement.
• Liaise with Asset Risk, Connections & Developer Services, Asset Operations, and other teams.
• Prepare outline proposals for future schemes and manage external/regulatory interfaces.
• Ensure environmental compliance guidance with EPA/EU targets and regulatory submissions.
