Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Regional Health and Safety Manager to lead safety across major data centre projects in Germany. This senior role involves directing a regional team of HSE professionals and reporting to the EHS Director.

You will develop and implement regional health and safety strategies, ensure compliance with German and EU regulations, and drive continuous improvement through audits, investigations and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager, ideally in regional or multi-site leadership.
• Experience managing Health and Safety on large-scale, technically demanding construction projects, ideally data centre or mission-critical.
• Experience managing and leading a team of Health and Safety professionals.
• Open to working away in Germany for the duration of the assignment.
• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and relevant Health and Safety qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Health and Safety across a portfolio of major data centre projects in Germany.
• Manage and mentor a team of Senior Health and Safety Managers/Advisors across multiple sites.
• Develop, implement and monitor the regional Health and Safety strategy, policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with German and EU Health and Safety regulations across all projects.
• Lead incident investigation, reporting and close-out across the region.
• Conduct audits and inspections across sites, driving continuous improvement in Health and Safety performance.
• Report Health and Safety performance and risk to the EHS Director and senior leadership.
• Liaise with clients, design teams and subcontractors on Health and Safety matters at a regional level.

Regional Health and Safety Manager required for a Tier 1 Main Contractor to oversee Health and Safety across major data centre projects in Germany. Our client is specifically looking for an experienced Regional Health and Safety Manager to lead and manage a team of Senior Health and Safety professionals across multiple large-scale, technically demanding builds. This is a senior leadership role suited to a candidate comfortable working away from home on an international assignment. The successful Regional Health and Safety Manager will report to the company’s EHS Director.

Role:

• Lead and manage Health and Safety across a portfolio of major data centre projects in Germany.
