Job summary

Anderson McQue Inc on behalf of a multinational biopharmaceutical client seeks a Refrigeration Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial water/air cooled chillers and AC units at the site, adhering to site policies and SOPs.

You will contribute to troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination with contractors while maintaining compliance with GMP and EHS requirements. Training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years maintaining refrigeration equipment in pharma environments.
• F-GAS 2079 certification required.
• NFQ level 5 or higher with refrigeration trades.
• Ability to work independently and in teams in fast-paced settings.

Job description

This position will be based on a biopharmaceutical site on behalf of our client, a multinational and multicultural company which provides great career progression opportunities to the right person.

The role:

The utilities refrigeration technician is responsible for the execution of the preventive and corrective maintenance program on the site refrigeration equipment. Your main role is to carry servicing, trouble shooting, and maintenance of Industrial water/air cooled Chillers and various AC units.

• Carry out work as per schedule supplied by the Maintenance Coordinator Planner and as per site policies, schedules and procedures.
• Troubleshoot problems with utilities refrigeration equipment as necessary and as directed by site supervisors.
• Complete site documentation before and after work tasks, as per relevant SOP.
• Liaise with Contractors during planned service maintenance.
• Participate in the appropriate training and ensure that ITP meets the site requirements.
• Carry out Risk Assessment of Equipment Maintenance Task List steps and ensure these are always kept valid.
• Update MTL’s as appropriate to ensure they are always relevant to the site needs and meet findings from periodic reviews.
• Carry out Periodic reviews of EWI/SOP to ensure documents are always current and valid.
• All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and company EHS rules and guidelines.
• You will have a Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 Certificate.
• Relevant trade qualification in refrigeration, or a qualified industrial electrician who has transitioned to refrigeration.
• 2+ years in maintenance and troubleshooting experience of refrigeration equipment in a Pharma environment and familiar with GMP requirements.
• Qualified to a minimum of NFQ 5.
• Familiar and capable of delivering Service/Maintenance and repair of Water-cooled and Air-cooled Chillers and AC Units.
• Experience on large ton centrifugal and screw chillers would be a distinct advantage, but training will be provided as required.
• Have experience with major chiller manufacturers such as York/ Sabroe/ Trane/ Carrier/ Daikin.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
