Job summary

Alloy Enterprises is seeking a qualified Chiller Service Engineer to carry out commissioning, servicing, fault finding and maintenance of water/air cooled chillers and heat pumps.

You will work with major clients in Pharma, Life Science and High Tech sectors, carrying surveys and reporting to aid quotes, ensuring compliance with safety policies and company standards. A full Irish driving license and NFQ Level 5 qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration trade qualification or electrician willing to cross-train on YORK chillers.
• F-GAS 2079 certified, with safety training.
• Experience servicing water/air cooled chillers and heat pumps.
• Familiar with major brands (York, Sabroe, Trane, Carrier, Daikin).
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide site surveys, records, and reports to aid quotes for new or replacement equipment.
• Carry commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial chillers and heat pumps.
• Be primary technical contact for service issues and resolve complex systems within defined timeframes.
• Work with major clients in Pharma, Life Science, and High Tech sectors with a safety-first mindset.

What you will do

You will provide up to date site surveys, records, and reports regarding works completed and actions needed to aid quoting of new or replacement equipment. Your main role is to carry Commissioning, servicing, trouble shooting, and maintenance of Industrial water/air cooled Chillers and Heat pumps.

As a Chiller Service Engineer, you are the primary contact for all technical service issues, accountable for resolving highly complex systems within a set timeframe and according to a defined process, service agreement and customer needs.

You will be working mainly with the company's largest customers predominantly within the foreign direct investment sector of Pharmaceutical, Life science and High Tech Clients.

Health and Safety will be at the forefront of everything you do. Although often working without accompaniment you will be part of a team and contribute towards its success.

What we look for

• You will have a Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 Certificate.
• Ammonia Experience would be a distinct advantage.
• Relevant Trade Qualification in Refrigeration, or A qualified industrial electrician willing to cross train on the York Chiller and heat pumps.
• Safe Pass Card & Manual Handling Certificate
• Qualified to a minimum of NFQ 5
• Familiar and capable of delivering Service/Maintenance and repair of Water-cooled and Air-cooled Chillers
• Commissioning Experience on large ton Centrifugal and Screw chillers and heat pumps would be a distinct advantage but factory training will be provided.
• Have experience with major Chiller manufacturers such as York/ Sabroe/ Trane/ Carrier/ Daikin.
• Capable of working without detailed procedures and with limited supervision.
• Full Clean Irish Driving License
