Job summary

Right at Home Ireland is seeking a Rapid Responder Healthcare Assistant to cover CHO6, including South Dublin and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. You will provide safe, compassionate home care and respond to urgent or unplanned calls.

The role requires QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently. Full driving licence and access to your own car are preferred; full-time hours with a competitive pay rate of €16.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support modules including Care Skills and Care of the Older Person.
• Commitment to completing the full QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support award within two years.
• Full driving licence and access to your own car.

Responsibilities

• Responding to urgent on-call issues and covering care calls when others are unavailable.
• Delivering care in line with each client’s Home Care Plan.
• Providing personal care, showering, dressing and toileting assistance.
• Medication prompting as per the Home Care Plan.
• Preparing meals and assisting with light household duties.
• Supporting independence and social involvement for clients.
• Documenting all care provided and reporting concerns per policy.
• Supporting the Supervisor and wider care team during quieter periods.
