Job summary
Connected Health is seeking a Rapid Response Healthcare Assistant for on-site work in Dundalk, Co. Louth. You will provide urgent, hands-on homecare to clients, stepping into new packages and supporting independence in the community.
The role requires 1+ year homecare experience in Ireland, QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care, and a driving licence with access to a car. You’ll work in a fast-paced, supportive team with training, mileage reimbursement, and a fortnightly pay cycle.
Qualifications
- Experience in homecare (1+ year in Ireland)
- QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care required
- Driving licence + car essential due to travel between clients
- Calm under pressure in a rapid response environment
- Strong communication & organisation skills
- Compassion and empathy are central to care
- Weekend flexibility as rota-based requirement
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for staff shadowing and adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Undertake emergency over - rapid response with new packages and discharges
- Evaluate and monitor care quality and report concerns to the area manager
- Check and collect journal notes from clients’ homes
- Deliver care plans, log sheets and gloves to clients’ homes as required
- Deliver PPE as needed
