Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Ireland seeks a Rail Project Director to lead multi-disciplinary railway infrastructure programs from concept to construction. The role blends technical leadership with contract and commercial oversight, reporting to Engineering Directors and mentoring senior project managers.

You will manage client relations, develop tender proposals, and drive successful delivery across Dublin, Dundalk, Cork or Galway offices.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in engineering with level 8/9 qualification.
• Chartered status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
• Postgraduate consultancy experience in infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Experience delivering multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects in Ireland/UK.
• Experience as Employer’s Representative or NEC Project Manager on contracts.
• Ability to manage a multi-disciplinary design team and client relationships.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project director role on multi-disciplinary transportation projects.
• Oversee project management and contract/commercial ownership.
• Coordinate with Engineering Directors/Managers to manage the design process.
• Line management and mentoring of junior staff including Senior Project Managers.
• Develop tender proposals, lead bids and secure new commissions.
