Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Ireland is seeking a Civils & Structural Lead to shape Ireland's rail infrastructure. This senior role provides technical leadership across heavy rail, light rail and metro projects, guiding design teams from concept through construction and ensuring safe, buildable solutions.

You will collaborate with clients, stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and drive capability development while promoting an inclusive, high-performance culture and innovative practices

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional qualification (CEng/IEng) and membership of Engineers Ireland, ICE or IStructE.
Experience acting as CRE or Engineering Manager for railway civil works or stations projects.
Experience working on Rail projects.
Good understanding of relevant design standards.
Practical knowledge of railway civil engineering or station design.

Responsibilities

Deliver civil and structural engineering solutions for new construction, renewals and maintenance works.
Lead and support multi-disciplinary design teams and foster collaboration.
Review design documentation, sketches, BIM deliverables, calculations, reports and specifications.
Collaborate with clients to understand challenges and objectives and shape practical, integrated solutions.
Mentor engineers and support professional development.
Contribute to capability development and a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
