Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks an experienced Rail Operations and Maintenance professional to lead advisory, asset management and transformational work for Irish rail clients. You will shape strategies, deliver maintenance and lifecycle insights, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across borders.

The role blends advisory and technical work, focusing on safety, performance, and value. Flexible UK locations and international travel may apply, with a hybrid working setup.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with a professional engineering council affiliation.
• Strong understanding of asset management principles and standards (ISO 55000).
• Experience in rail asset management lifecycle and maintenance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape and evolve Asset Management strategies in line with organizational goals and standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to align designs with requirements and strategic objectives.
• Develop Asset Management and Maintenance strategies for rail organisations.
• Develop Asset Management, Maintenance and Renewal plans for multidisciplinary assets.
• Conduct whole life cost models and asset management plans.
• Coordinate PRAMS analysis, condition assessments, and risk-based maintenance planning.
• Support the integration of digital asset management systems.
• Facilitate workshops with clients and delivery partners.
