SSE plc in Dublin is seeking a Finance professional to join the centralised Record to Report Centre of Excellence. The role covers GL, Revenue, Fixed Assets, Treasury, Intercompany and VAT, with a focus on continuous improvement and safe, controlled processes.

You will work in a cross-functional team to support month-end and audits, delivering accurate, audit-ready outputs. The position is a 12-month secondment / fixed-term contract, full-time with Flexible First options.

Qualifikationen

• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and experience within accounting, financial reporting or financial control environments.

Aufgaben

• Deliver key month-end, half-year and year-end accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in line with Group requirements.
• Prepare and review journals, reconciliations and reporting outputs, investigating variances and providing clear explanations of financial movements.
• Maintain robust financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations and audit trails, ensuring compliance, accuracy and a strong culture of accountability and safety.
• Support the successful delivery of external audits by preparing high-quality documentation and responding promptly to audit requests.
• Collaborate with Finance Managers, Assistant Accountants and Analysts to share knowledge, support colleagues and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and digital ways of working.
