Job summary

SSE's Record to Report (R2R) Centre of Excellence in Dublin seeks an Assistant Accountant to deliver accurate financial information and strong controls. You will work with professionals across General Ledger, Revenue, Projects and Fixed Assets to support timely reporting and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Progress towards ICAS/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, half-year and year-end reporting activities.
• Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting packs.
• Maintain robust controls with clear audit trails and evidence.
• Collaborate with R2R colleagues to share knowledge and improve ways of working.
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes and controls.
