Job summary

Transitions Optical in Tuam, Co. Galway, is seeking a Product Development Scientist I to join the R&D team. You will contribute to developing new photochromic coating products, implementing new technologies, and supporting the transfer of processes to manufacturing for industrialization and commercialization.

The role requires hands-on lab work, a Level 8 degree with at least 1 year of experience, and the ability to work independently or in a team within a global cross-functional setting.

Qualifications

• Level 8 Honours Bachelor Degree in a relevant field with minimum 1 year industry experience.
• Hands-on laboratory work and process development experience.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work both independently and in a team.
• Strong work ethic and effective time management.

Responsibilities

• Design experiments for formulation and process development.
