Job summary

BD in Limerick is seeking an experienced R&D Electronics Manager to lead the MMS electrical and electronic engineering team and drive innovations for infusion platforms. You will provide strategic and technical leadership, mentor engineers, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical, Systems, Physics or Software).
• Significant R&D or product development experience in engineering environments.
• Proven experience leading, coaching or managing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulated product development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the MMS electrical and electronic engineering team.
• Provide technical mentorship across new product development and sustaining projects.
• Drive engineering standards, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Lead complex root cause investigations, failure analysis and problem-solving activities.
• Manage CAPA execution, audit readiness and QA framework compliance.
• Oversee product lifecycle activities including obsolescence and EOL replacement.
• Deliver project plans, timelines and technical objectives aligned to business priorities.
• Coach and mentor engineering talent while fostering a high-performance culture.
