Job summary

BD is seeking an experienced R&D Electronics Manager for the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) R&D team in Limerick. Lead the MMS electrical/ electronic engineers, drive innovation, and ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle in a regulated environment.

You will provide strategic and technical leadership, mentor talent, and collaborate with multifunctional leaders to advance BD’s infusion technology portfolio while delivering high-quality solutions for patient care globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant experience in R&D, product development or technical engineering environments.
• Proven experience leading, coaching or managing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulated product development.
• Experience managing complex projects and multidisciplinary engineering activities.

We are seeking an experienced R&D Electronics Manager to join our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) R&D team in Limerick. In this leadership role, you will lead a dedicated team of electronic and electrical engineers responsible for the development and support of sophisticated infusion platforms that are making a real impact on patient care globally. As the R&D Electronics Manager, you will provide both strategic and technical leadership in developing new products as well as supporting existing engineering processes. You will be responsible for driving innovation, developing engineering talent, and delivering high-quality solutions in a highly regulated environment. Working closely with multi-functional leaders, you will play a key role in advancing BD’s infusion technology portfolio while ensuring engineering excellence and product quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the MMS electrical and electronic engineering team.
• Provide technical mentorship throughout new product development and sustaining engineering projects.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, such as Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical, Systems, Physics or Software Engineering.
• Significant experience within R&D, product development or technical engineering environments.
• Proven experience leading, coaching or managing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulated product development.
• Experience managing complex projects and multidisciplinary engineering activities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within a regulated industry such as Medical Devices, Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial or similar.
• Knowledge of Mechatronics Analysis and Design.
• Experience with structured design methodologies such as DFSS or equivalent.
• Experience supporting complex electronic systems throughout the full product lifecycle.

Salary Range Information €75,900.00 - €115,725.00 EUR Annual
