Job summary

Equal1 in Ireland seeks an experienced Field Applications Engineer to partner with enterprise clients, architect, build, and deploy technical solutions leveraging Equal1’s silicon spin QPUs. You will translate complex quantum systems into compelling business value.

In this client-facing role you will deliver live demos, bridge customer requirements with internal R&D, and support on-prem deployments while providing ongoing technical support and whitepapers to elevate product visibility.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience (PhD can waive up to 2 years).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of classical computational theory.
• Strong software engineering skills.
• Proficiency in Python and Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualization and software packaging.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for commercial engagements.
• Deliver live technical pitches and run on-site or remote demos.
• Architect solutions by bridging customers and internal teams.
• Support on-prem system deployments and virtualization.
• Provide project management and operational support for client delivery.
• Create whitepapers, use cases, and executive presentations; contribute to media content.
• Act as strategic interface between commercial strategy and R&D.
