Suir Engineering invites applications for an 18‑month Electrical Engineering Graduate Programme starting September 2027. We’re a leading international provider of innovative Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation engineering solutions with a global footprint and sector focus on Energy, Power and Renewables, Pharma and Data Centres.

The programme offers hands‑on experience across Ireland, the UK, Denmark, Sweden and Germany, with training modules, site visits and opportunities to contribute

Qualifications

• Level 8 or relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and eager to learn.
• Ability to relocate to different sites.

Responsibilities

• Support the senior engineering team across a variety of projects.
• Review designs from third parties and internal sources.
• Provide in-house design after training (HV/MV cables, calculations).
• Maintain comment and RFI logs.
• Support site construction and commissioning teams on HV/MV projects.
• Review procurement for major HV and MV equipment.
• Site testing (soil resistivity, thermal resistivity).
• Attend FAT in Ireland and abroad.
• Assist estimating with tendering projects.
• Assist HV commissioning team with commissioning.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Graduate join our 18-month graduate programme starting September 2027.

Here in Suir Engineering we are a leading international provider of innovative Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Solutions. Our core sectors are Energy, Power and Renewables, Pharma, Food & Beverage, and Data Centres. We provide best in class contracting solutions with in-house, flexible resources capable of delivering a personable and consistent service to our customers. Over the past 40 years we have delivered projects for Irish and multinational clients across the globe.

We are currently expanding significantly, and are delivering large scale projects across Ireland, the U.K, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.

We currently have graduate position available across Ireland, Denmark & Sweden.

What you will be doing?

• Supporting the senior engineering team across a variety projects
• Review designs from third parties/internal
• Provide in house design as required (after training received – HV/MV cable designs, pulling calculations, sheet voltage calculations, static studies)
• Maintain up to date comment logs and RFI logs
• Provide support to site construction and commissioning teams on HV and MV projects
• Review and maintain procurement for major HV and MV equipment
• Site testing like soil resistivity, thermal resistivity
• Attendance to FAT in Ireland and abroad
• Assist estimating with tendering projects
• Assist HV commissioning team with commissioning
