Quantity Surveyor - European Projects

Job summary

Ardmac is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to be based primarily in Dublin, with projects across Europe. The successful candidate will travel monthly for 3–5 day site visits and engage in cost control, budgeting and commercial management across high-value workspace projects.

Five years' plus QS experience is expected, with emphasis on contracts, procurement and risk management. Ardmac offers competitive salary and benefits as part of a global construction specialist team.

Qualifications

• Five years' plus experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience with industrial fit-out projects preferred.
• Strong ability to form good working relationships with all stakeholders.
• Knowledge of subcontract/material orders and procurement.
• Experience preparing commercial reports and subcontract forms.
• Knowledge of contracts; bespoke and standard forms.
• Awareness of health and safety, quality procedures in construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update contract budgets.
• Handle contractual and legal aspects of projects.
• Liaise with Surveying Manager.
• Administer contract records and documentation.
• Prepare monthly JCRs and JCSs.
• Attend contractor handover meetings.
• Attend bi-weekly contract review meetings.
• Update cash reporting and collection processes.
• Identify risks and develop risk management plans.
• Maintain relationships with clients, supply chain and project team.

About the Job

Ardmac are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to be based primarily in Dublin and to work on projects on the European continent. The successful candidate will travel once per month to visit project sites (3-5 day working trip).

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and updating of contact budget
• Responsible for contractual and legal aspects of project
• Liaison with Surveying Manager
• Administration of contract records
• Production of monthly JCR's and JCS's
• Attendance at contractor handover meeting
• Attendance at bi-weekly contract review meetings
• Updating of cash reporting and collection
• Identification of risks and completion of risk management plan
• Relationship with clients, supply chain and professional team

Candidates will need to have five years' plus experience working as a Quantity Surveyor - experience of industrial fit out projects is preferred though not essential.
