Job summary

Vickerstock, partnering with a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor, is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for their Charleville team in Co. Cork.

You will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of projects, prepare interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts, and monitor costs and cash flow to ensure financial control. The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, experience in civil engineering or infrastructure, and strong commercial awareness with

Qualifications

• A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.
• Understanding of construction contracts, valuations and final accounts.
• Strong commercial awareness and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills.
• The ability to work effectively with site teams, subcontractors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of assigned projects.
• Preparing and submitting interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets, cash flow and commercial performance.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.
• Identifying variations, preparing cost assessments and managing change control.
• Reviewing contractual obligations and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Working closely with project managers, engineers and site teams to maintain commercial control.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
