Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
  • Proficient in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation abilities for cost control and client liaison.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
  • Monitor and control project costs to meet financial targets and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in tendering by preparing Bills of Quantities and evaluating bids.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify cost variations.
  • Collaborate with project managers to implement cost management strategies.
  • Review contracts and negotiate terms with subcontractors and suppliers for best value.
  • Provide advice on claims, variations, and contract disputes.
  • Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes affecting the sector.
