Job summary

Global Professional Consultants seeks an Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major road project in Co. Kerry, Ireland. The role focuses on cost control, tendering, valuations and progress claims on civil works.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years on civil projects, a degree, and adept IT skills (Cubit/Cost-ex). The position involves coordinating multiple activities to meet strict time and quality targets.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience on civil engineering projects.
• Degree qualification.
• Ability to meet demanding time and quality targets.
• Proficient with Cubit, Cost-ex or equivalent.
• MS Word and Excel proficiency.
• Willingness to attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
• Ability to coordinate several different projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of construction procedures, methodology and specifications is essential.

My client, one of Ireland’s leading Civil Engineering contractors are now searching for an Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Co. Kerry working on a large road project.

Role:

• Quantity Surveying
• BOQ
• Tendering
• Cost Analysis & Reporting.
• Valuations
• Progress Claims.

Requirements:

• At least 5years’ experience on civil engineering projects preferred
• Degree qualification
• An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
• Good IT skills with competency using Cubit, Cost-ex or equivalent
• Microsoft Word and Excel
• A willingness to attend training and to develop relevant knowledge,
• techniques and skills.
• Ability co-ordinate several different projects at the same time.
• An understanding and experience of construction procedures, methodology & specifications is essential.

Salary:

• Salary €65k - €80k DOE
