Job summary

KCM Recruitment Ltd. seeks a Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial and contractual tasks from tender through to final account on live projects near Kilkenny. Office-based with some site visits, reporting to a senior QS/Estimator.

2+ years’ experience in construction roles, commercially aware, and with main/sub-contractor exposure. Salary is market-led and dependent on experience.

• A relevant third level degree qualification in Quantity surveying or Construction Management.
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Must be commercially & contractually aware.

• Main Contractor/Sub Contractor/Specialist construction engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the commercial and contractual requirements through the lifecycle of the project.
• Assist with tendering/estimating.
• Project Procurement including Sub-contractors.
• Conduct cost and risk analysis.
• Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors.
• Assist with project costing, margin & cashflow reports.
• Assist with project change order procedures and agree costs with client.
• Provide monthly valuations and certs.
• Assist in agreeing final accounts.

KCM Recruitment are seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a large construction/engineering company based in Wexford within proximity to both Kilkenny and Waterford.

The role would be office based for most of the time with some site visits and you would report to a senior QS/Estimator and be responsible for all commercial tasks from tender stage to final account on live projects.

Ideally you will have between 2 and 5 years’ experience with a main contractor or a subcontractor.

Obviously, this role would suit a QS living in the Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny area or a QS in Dublin looking to relocate closer to home.
