Job summary

Lead Group Ireland is recruiting an Electrical Quantity Surveyor for a multinational engineering company based in Cork. The role focuses on pharmaceutical projects with exposure to data centre and renewable energy sectors.

You will be part of an experienced commercial team delivering electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion, managing cost estimates, procurement, valuations and final accounts while ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline.
• Electrical / MEP experience is highly desirable.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, data centre, industrial or renewable sectors is advantageous.
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial and contractual aspects of electrical projects.
• Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets and forecasts.
• Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Reviewing valuations, variations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Cost reporting and monitoring project expenditure.
• Supporting tender preparation and analysis.
• Managing commercial risks and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors.

Electrical Quantity Surveyor – Cork

Lead Group Ireland are currently recruiting for an Electrical Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a multinational engineering company based in Cork.

This is a permanent opportunity supporting a range of major engineering projects, with the primary focus being pharmaceutical projects. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to projects across the Data Centre and Renewable Energy sectors.

The Role

You will work as part of an experienced commercial team, supporting the delivery of electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of electrical projects.
• Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets and forecasts.
• Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Reviewing valuations, variations, applications for payment and final accounts.

• Working closely with project managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
• Electrical / MEP experience is highly desirable.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical, data centre, industrial or renewable sectors would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
