Job summary

Electricity Supply Board (ESB) is seeking a Quality Systems Coordinator for the QCI team in Dublin. The role focuses on supporting audit activities related to ESB EMP's ISO 9001 quality certification, maintaining a robust QMS, and driving continual improvement across projects.

The successful candidate will manage internal and external audits, develop metrics, deliver QMS training, and work with department leaders to embed a learning culture while operating in a hybrid model from Dublin 2.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Quality Management.
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard.
  • Experience with Stakeholder Management in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Technical skills in MS Office incl. SharePoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and continual improvement mindset.
  • Organised with ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
  • IRCA certified Internal Quality Auditor (ideally).
  • Membership of CQI/ASQ or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of internal quality audits and annual schedule.
  • Schedule External NSAI Quality Audit and manage stakeholders.
  • Maintain quality action tracking system and Quality dashboard.
  • Develop quality metrics and report on them.
  • Deliver internal training such as QMS Awareness/Induction and SharePoint training.
  • Liaise with Managers to drive quality initiatives and embedding learning.
  • Participate in cross-department forums to promote best practices.
  • Ensure EMP Procedures align to ISO9001 standards.
  • Provide quality inputs to bids and tender submissions.
  • Monitor and manage Quality KPIs and resolve queries in the QMS.

The Quality and Continuous Improvement (QCI) Team, within Engineering and Major Projects (EMP), are looking for a Quality Systems Coordinator whose key function is to support audit activities related to EMPs ISO 9001 quality certification.

The QCI team supports the efficient delivery of major projects and engineering solutions required by ESB and its partners to lead the transition to reliable, affordable, low carbon energy. To support EMPs broad range of partner services including, onshore/offshore windfarms, solar PV, battery storage, transmission/generation/distribution systems maintenance, flexible generation projects etc. EMP uses the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System

The QCI team specialises in:

  • Driving a Quality and Continuous Improvement culture within EMP
  • Management of EMPs Continuous Improvement Programme to deliver process improvement initiatives
  • Management of the ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System within EMP
Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Supporting the delivery of EMP’s internal quality audit programme including developing the annual schedule and leading internal quality audits
  • Scheduling of External NSAI Quality Audit and stakeholder management of same
  • Maintaining the quality action tracking system and the Quality dashboard
  • Participating in the development of appropriate quality metrics and monitoring and reporting on same
  • Developing and delivering internal training programs such as QMS Awareness/Induction training, QMS SharePoint Training and Verification and Approval Training etc
  • Liaising with Department Managers and SMT to drive key quality initiatives to embed a learning and continuous improvement culture
  • Participating in cross department forums to promote quality and continual improvement practices
  • Responsible for ensuring that EMP Company Procedures are aligned to ISO9001 Quality Standard
  • Quality inputs to bids and tender submissions
  • Monitoring and management of quality KPIs
  • Deliver user support and troubleshooting for the Quality Management System, ensuring timely resolution of queries and issues.
Experience and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Quality Management
  • Either a relevant 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential,
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard
  • Experience with Stakeholder Management, with an ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Technical Skills – experience using MS Office applications including SharePoint
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for quality and continual improvement
  • Organised approach to workload and an ability to work on his/her own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of structured management systems
  • Internal Quality Auditor (Ideally IRCA certified)
  • Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), American Society for Quality (ASQ) or equivalent
Location

This position will be based in The Sidings, Grand Canal Quay, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2, D02 E7K8.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

General

It is not anticipated that a staff member still on probation will be eligible to apply for a promotional vacancy.

Typically, an individual must have completed their probation and should have at least two years’ experience in their current role before being eligible to apply for a promotion.

An application from a staff member who does not meet the above criteria must have the approval of both the senior line manager and the HRM within the BU before progressing to application

Note: For staff currently on non-monthly pay frequency, any promotion to Bands 5 and above will result in a change in pay frequency to monthly

€41,000 to €48,000 per annum

Notes

Your application will be held in reserve for 6 months should you be suitable for the role.

The successful candidate will be required to evidence their right to work in the Republic of Ireland / UK prior to commencement of employment.
