Job summary

Sofina Foods Europe is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to uphold food safety, product quality and GMP standards across our production site in Ireland. You will perform quality checks, verify compliance and maintain accurate records while collaborating with production teams to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

As the main Quality contact for your area, you will support traceability, non-conformance handling, and continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food safety, quality and compliance standards across production.

• Carry out environmental swabbing, ATP testing and other quality verification activities.
• Manage product hold procedures and support non-conformance processes.
• Complete daily area inspections, start-up and shutdown checks.
• Carry out temperature, metal detection and chemical verification checks as required.
• Ensure product testing schedules are completed accurately and on time.
• Verify labelling, traceability and allergen controls while acting as the main Quality contact for assigned areas.

Help Deliver the Highest Food Safety and Quality Standards Across Production

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to support food safety, product quality and GMP standards across our production operation. In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out quality checks, verifying compliance, maintaining accurate records and working closely with production teams to ensure products consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.

You'll act as the main Quality contact for your assigned area, helping to identify and resolve issues, maintain traceability and support continuous compliance across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards. This position offers a competitive pay rate of €16.40 per hour.

Key Duties

• You’ll play a key role in maintaining food safety, quality and compliance standards across production.
• Conduct quality checks on raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products against specifications
• Monitor and maintain GMP standards across production areas
• Carry out environmental swabbing, ATP testing and other quality verification activities

Ideal Candidate

• We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and passionate about quality and food safety.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to accurately complete documentation and maintain records
• Fluent in English with good Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Experience within food manufacturing, quality assurance or food safety processes would be advantageous
