Job summary

Sofina Foods Europe is seeking a Line Leader for the Packing department. The role oversees daily production on designated lines, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency while motivating a team and maintaining high standards.

Reporting to the Production Manager, Shift Supervisor and Senior Team Leader, you will drive output, ensure CCPs are managed, and collaborate across Quality, Maintenance and Production to resolve issues and improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet output targets, quality standards and customer requirements.
• Monitor health, safety, food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring PPE is worn and procedures followed.
• Manage CCPs, production records and documentation to maintain compliance and traceability.
• Oversee spiral freezer operations, temperatures and retention times to maintain product quality.
• Support team performance through training, coaching and SOP delivery.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance and Production teams to resolve issues and improve efficiencies.
• Monitor product rotation, use-by dates, labeling accuracy and changeovers for operational excellence.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by reporting KPIs and supporting shift handovers.

Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Line Leader to join our Packing department. This position is ideal for an organised and proactive individual with strong leadership skills who can motivate a team, maintain high standards and ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Production Manager, Shift Supervisor and Senior Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on your designated lines while ensuring compliance with food safety, quality and health and safety standards.

Key Duties

• Leading and coordinating daily production activities to ensure output targets, quality standards and customer requirements are achieved.


• Monitoring health, safety, food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring correct PPE is worn and company procedures are followed at all times.


• Managing Critical Control Points (CCPs), production records and operational documentation to maintain compliance and traceability.


• Overseeing spiral freezer operations, temperatures, retention times and associated production equipment to ensure product quality standards are maintained.


• Supporting team performance through training, coaching and SOP delivery for both new and existing employees.


• Working closely with Quality, Maintenance and Production teams to resolve issues, improve efficiencies and minimise downtime.


• Monitoring product rotation, raw material use-by dates, labelling accuracy and changeover activities to maintain operational excellence.


• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, reporting daily KPIs and supporting effective shift handovers and communication across departments.
