Job summary

Keelings is seeking a QA Inspector to ensure all produce arriving and leaving the Packhouse meets customer specifications and RM specs. You will conduct inspections at intake, storage, packing and dispatch, record results, and highlight any quarantine product.

You will also participate in health and safety practices and support KPI targets set by the QA manager. The role requires good English, numeracy, IT and inspection equipment knowledge, flexible hours, and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Understanding of inspection methodology and inspection equipment required.
• Good attendance, punctuality and disciplinary record.
• Good English language skills required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all produce on arrival (intake) to ensure it meets customer specifications/RM spec.
• Oversee storage inspections (OOR/reinspection).
• Ensure packing conforms to procedures and customer specs during processing.
• Perform shelf-life inspections during dispatch.
• Complete inspection quality records as required.
• Conduct destructive testing (e.g., pressure, Brix) when applicable and flag non-conforming product.
• Work with intake and Packhouse teams to ensure compliant packing and specs.
• Meet KPIs set by QA manager (performance, accuracy, productivity, reduce rejections).
• Promote health and safety practices and maintain a safe work environment.

Purpose Of The Role

• To ensure that all produce being delivered to the company and all produce being dispatched is in accordance with the customer specification / procedures
• To promote knowledge of quality for the product/produce range
• To promote good working ethos
• To promote Good Manufacturing and Health and Safety Practices

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Ensure that all produce is inspected as outlined below, and meets the customer specifications /RM Spec.
• On arrival (intake)
• In Storage (OOR/ Reinspection)
• When the product is being packed (in process) and
• When the product is being dispatched * Shelf Life Inspections
• Completion of inspection quality records as required and in accordance with procedures.
• Conduct destructive testing where applicable and record the results to make sure all product meet customer specifications (Pressure, Brix) and highlight any Quarantine product
• Carrying out routine inspections according to documented Inspection & test procedures.
• Working with the team in intake and the Packhouse to ensure that all product is packed in accordance with procedures and to customer specifications
• Meet the KPIs set up by the QA manager (performances, accuracy of inspection / report, productivity, Zero EPW, reduction of customer rejections, ….)
• To actively promote and adhere to health and safety protocols and be responsible for your own safety and that of your colleagues. Contributing to a safe work environment to minimise hazards and incidents in the workplace.

• Performance pallets/ lines checked a day.
• Reduce customer rejections (QSL)
• Conduct daily handover with accurate and appropriate information.
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene.
• Perform in a health and safety manner the daily tasks.
• Avoid EPW
• Completion of functional checks in a timely and efficient manner
