ODS Engineering is seeking a quality-focused professional to support MEP QA/QC, inspections, and commissioning on demanding projects. You will verify installations, review test plans, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure compliance prior to energisation and handover.
Responsibilities include leading defect identification and closure, managing NCR lifecycles, and maintaining clear, auditable documentation using SharePoint. Experience with data centres or critical infra is valued.
Inspect and verify mechanical and electrical installations including HVAC, electrical distribution, containment, piping, and fire protection systems. Review and manage Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), commissioning documentation, and vendor submissions. Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure systems meet quality requirements prior to energisation and handover. Lead QC walkdowns, identify defects, and ensure closure. Witness testing, inspections, and commissioning activities. Manage the full Non-Conformance Report (NCR) lifecycle. Liaise with subcontractors, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to align quality activities.
Verify installation quality of HVAC and piping systems against drawings and specifications. Witness pressure testing and ensure compliance with project standards. Identify installation issues and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Inspect cable installations, terminations, and routing. Carry out and verify loop checks and I/O testing. Ensure electrical systems meet design intent and quality requirements prior to energisation. Witness and verify against test plan
Complete and sign off all testing documentation and quality records accurately. Maintain clear, auditable records for all inspections and tests. Use document control systems such as SharePoint to manage and track documentation.
Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent experience. Relevant site and quality certifications such as CSCS and QA/QC training are advantageous.
Proven experience in M&E QA/QC, inspection, or commissioning support roles. Background working on data centres, critical infrastructure, or fast-track projects. Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing quality on live sites.
Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and ITPs. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and ownership of quality standards.
Organised and methodical. Comfortable challenging poor-quality work. Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Takes ownership and drives issues through to completion.
Full ownership of quality across the fit-out and commissioning facility, ensuring all systems are compliant, complete, and ready for operational handover.
