Job summary

Fyffes Balbriggan Ripening Centre in Dublin area is seeking a detail-focused Quality Control Assistant to join the Fyffes Quality team. You will carry out quality inspections on incoming, in-process and finished products, assess conformance to specifications and support documentation of findings.

Fluent English is required. You will work in a 37.5-hour week with early shifts; strong numeracy, basic computer skills (Outlook and Excel) and a disciplined, team-oriented approach are essential.

Job description

We are currently seeking a detail-focused and conscientious Quality Control Assistant to join our Fyffes Quality team.

The successful candidate will help ensure that our products meet company, customer, legal and food safety requirements. This role involves inspecting and monitoring products and processes, accurately recording findings and supporting the continued delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Shifts- 5:00am to 5:00pm, 3 days in 4 days off in one week, and 4 days in 3 days off in the second week. (Average 37.5h per week) 2 week work pattern

Salary: Starting from €16.00 p/h

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Work Location: In person- Fyffes Balbriggan Ripening Centre- Dublin

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections on incoming, in-process and finished products.


• Assess products against Fyffes and customer specifications and quality standards.


• Check product grading, sizing, ripeness, appearance and overall condition.


• Identify defects, non-conformances and other quality concerns, escalating issues to supervisors or managers where required.


• Accurately record and report inspection findings.


• Print, inspect and verify product labels.


• Complete routine quality control and health and safety checks, including glass audits and hygiene inspections.


• Support compliance with food hygiene, cleaning, organic-product and workplace safety requirements.

Skills and Experience
