Job summary

ProSource Group in Cork is seeking a qualified accounting professional to join the firm’s accounts team. This generalist role offers exposure to accounts preparation, tax compliance and audit, with strong support for ongoing professional development and client-facing responsibilities.

The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience with a varied client base, contribute to monthly/quarterly management accounts, and collaborate with a supportive partners/senior team environment in Cork City.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA/CPA qualified or part-qualified.
• 2+ years’ experience in an Irish accountancy practice is expected.
• Strong grounding in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and some exposure to audit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and companies (limited).
• Complete VAT, Corporation Tax, and Income Tax returns; assist with tax compliance.
• Support statutory audits and audit-related tasks.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Liaise with clients and provide proactive advice on queries.
• Ensure adherence to accounting and tax regulations; train junior staff as needed.
• Handle ad hoc tasks as required by partners or senior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Completion of tax compliance work including VAT, Corporation Tax, and Income Tax returns.
• Involvement in statutory audits and audit support work.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Liaising with clients on day‑to‑day queries and providing proactive advice.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations.
• Supporting junior staff and assisting with their training where needed.
• Ad hoc tasks and assignments as required by the partners or senior team members.

Key Requirements
