Job summary

The Rehab Group in Ireland is seeking an RT Instructor on a fixed-term 12-month contract, full time (36 hours per week) located at Kilminchy, Portlaoise (Dublin Rd). The role trains and develops learners within QQI programme specifications and manages day-to-day delivery and assessment of training programmes.

The ideal candidate holds a third-level qualification in Education/Training, a QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer, and demonstrable QQI requirements knowledge with several years of related

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in Education/Training is required.
• A QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer qualification is required at minimum.
• Knowledge of QQI programme requirements, assessment procedures and quality assurance is required.
• Several years of relevant occupational experience with learners in educational, guidance and/or developmental contexts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the co-ordination, delivery and assessment of QQI modules.
• Provide systematic training according to specified curricula; maintain records for learner progress and quality standards.
• Mentor learners by example, with meetings and direct training to help plan timetables and provide feedback.
• Develop resources appropriate to each accredited module.
• Report to the Centre Manager on programme delivery and learner progress; refer problems promptly.
• Perform other duties as required by Centre Manager.
• Co-operate with National Learning Network management and local ETB staff.
