Job summary

SRG is seeking an experienced Cards Quality Engineering Lead to head end-to-end QA for card payments and self-service banking platforms. The role emphasizes ATM device testing, test leadership and delivery assurance, with hybrid work and an initial four days onsite per week.

You will drive testing strategy, oversee defect management, and ensure high-quality releases across critical banking systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading QA and test teams in banking/payments environments.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Experience with agile delivery and stakeholder management.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cards Quality Engineering Lead to join a leading financial services organisation. This role will focus on leading end-to-end quality assurance activities across card payments and self-service banking platforms, with a strong emphasis on ATM device testing, test leadership, and delivery assurance.

You will be responsible for driving testing strategy, managing defects, overseeing test execution, and ensuring high-quality releases across critical banking and payments systems.

This is a hybrid position, initially requiring 4 days per week onsite, reducing to 3 days over time.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA activities across projects, regulatory initiatives, and business-critical change programmes.
• Develop test strategies, plans, and test deliverables.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing of ATM hardware and software solutions.
• Validate customer journeys including withdrawals, deposits, balance enquiries, and card transactions.
• Manage testing across multiple environments, including exploratory and regression testing.
• Own defect management, prioritisation, and resolution tracking.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Maintain testing documentation, regression packs, and quality standards.
• Support performance and non-functional testing activities where required.
• Identify, manage, and escalation testing risks and issues.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a QA Lead, Test Lead, Test Manager, or Quality Engineering Lead.
• Experience testing complex banking, payments, or financial services applications.
• Solid understanding of test planning, execution, and defect management.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Experience leading testing activities across multiple workstreams.
• Base24 Classic or Base24-eps.
• Card payments and transaction processing platforms.
• ATM networks and self-service banking systems.
• Performance and non-functional testing.
• ISTQB Certification.
