Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking an Associate QA Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Tralee. The role sits within our Technology QA team, offering exposure to manual and automated testing, Jira/Xray usage, Agile delivery, and enterprise-scale platforms.

You will work with developers, BAs and project teams to ensure quality and performance of banking applications. The position is hybrid, requiring attendance at the Tralee office with some remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• Knowledge of SDLC concepts and QA methodologies.
• Experience with Agile practices and iterative delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.
• Identify, document, track and validate defects across applications and integrated systems.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases and test scripts using Jira and Xray.
• Support regression testing activities and ensure test coverage across releases.
• Develop and maintain test data for testing activities.
• Analyze test results and provide feedback to development teams.
• Assist in maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts.
• Collaborate with development, business and project teams to deliver solutions.
• Contribute to continuous QA process improvements.
• Produce clear test reporting for stakeholders and management.
