Job summary

MCS Group is representing a strong Irish B2B SaaS business seeking a QA Automation Engineer. You will own automation across web apps and APIs, collaborating from day one with engineers and product owners to ensure quality throughout the lifecycle.

You'll build and enhance automated test coverage using Playwright, Cypress and TS, integrate into CI/CD, and maintain robust regression suites while identifying high-risk areas for testing focus.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of commercial QA experience with hands-on automation.
• Experience across UI and API testing, web apps and CI/CD.
• Ability to work closely with engineers, product owners and leads.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve automated test frameworks and suites.
• Develop automated UI and API testing using Playwright/Cypress/TS.
• Expand Playwright and Cypress coverage and integrate tests into CI/CD.
• Own regression coverage and support releases with quality signals.
• Collaborate early in development; understand features and customer impact.
• Identify risks, challenge requirements and fill gaps with automation.
• Perform exploratory/manual testing where automation isn’t best.
• Work hands-on with developers rather than as a separate QA entity.
