Job summary

State Street is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join the OTC Enhanced team. You will own test strategies, design automated UI/API tests, and collaborate with Product, Development, and Business teams across global regions.

The role emphasizes automation, complex financial software testing, and continuous quality improvement within a Charles River and State Street ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software quality assurance and test automation experience.
• Experience with enterprise-scale financial software applications.
• Strong knowledge of OTC trading, post-trade processing, or capital markets workflows.
• Experience with React-based UIs or SPA frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience testing APIs and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong SQL and database validation skills.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile Scrum, and quality engineering best practices.
• Experience with Charles River IMS is highly desirable.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Kettle is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute test strategies for OTC Enhanced initiatives, ensuring functional, integration, and regression coverage.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for UI, API, and end-to-end workflows.
• Write detailed test cases and test scenarios covering OTC trading and post-trade processes.
• Partner with Product, Development, and Business teams to review requirements and ensure testability of new features.
• Lead end-to-end integration testing across Charles River, State Street, and third-party applications.
• Perform functional, automation, regression, and exploratory testing with audit and release evidence.
