Job summary

Charles River Development (CRD), the FinTech division of State Street, seeks a Senior Associate QA Automation Engineer to join its expanding QA team in EMEA. You will design and maintain automated tests for web and API applications, work with product owners and developers, and contribute to test data and execution across agile releases.

Bring 0–3 years' QA experience, proficiency with TestNG/Cucumber/Gauge, Selenium/Playwright/Cypress, and programming in Java/Python/JavaScript.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years QA with automation and manual testing.
• Strong understanding of STLC/SDLC and test design techniques.
• Hands-on with automation frameworks such as TestNG, Cucumber, Gauge.
• Experience with Selenium / Playwright / Cypress.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Strong test case design and requirement analysis (user stories).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and Git.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications.
• Work with product owners and developers to understand user stories and define test scenarios.
• Create, review, and maintain detailed test cases and test data.
• Execute both automated and manual test cases and analyze results.
• Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing across releases.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure adequate test coverage across automation and manual areas.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks and QA processes.
