Spencer Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a specialist international communications agency seeking an experienced Account Manager to join its Dublin team.
This is a client-facing opportunity for a strong technology PR practitioner who combines strategic thinking with excellent campaign delivery, media relations and account organisation.
The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of technology clients, acting as their trusted day-to-day adviser while ensuring communications programmes are creative, strategically focused and delivered to a consistently high standard.
The Role
- Manage day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of technology clients.
- Translate clients’ business priorities into clear communications strategies and campaigns.
- Lead account planning, client meetings, reporting and forward work programmes.
- Develop creative PR campaigns that deliver measurable results.
- Draft and edit press releases, opinion pieces, pitches, briefing documents, messaging and social content.
- Turn complex technical and commercial information into accessible, engaging stories.
- Support product launches, funding announcements, executive profiling and corporate milestones.
- Build relationships with technology, business, national and sector-specific journalists.
- Identify relevant news angles, pitch stories and secure valuable media coverage.
- Prepare spokespeople for interviews and manage media activity from briefing through to follow-up.
- Coordinate account teams, delegate work and support junior colleagues.
- Manage campaign scopes, deadlines and budgets.
- Contribute to new-business pitches, proposals and the growth of existing accounts.
- Collaborate with colleagues across international offices.
The Ideal Candidate
- Relevant experience in PR, communications or a related agency environment.
- Strong knowledge of the technology and business media landscape.
- Proven experience managing client accounts and delivering PR campaigns.
- Excellent media relations skills and established journalist relationships.
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling ability.
- Comfortable communicating complex technology topics clearly.
- Confident advising clients and presenting recommendations.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and experience supporting junior team members.
- Experience in areas such as fintech, payments, AI, deep tech, green technology or enterprise technology would be an advantage.
