Spencer Recruitment is partnering with a leading independent communications consultancy to recruit a Corporate PR Account Manager.
Our partner advises major public and private sector organisations across corporate communications, media relations, crisis communications, reputation management and strategic positioning.
The Account Manager will manage the day-to-day delivery of several client accounts, develop high-quality communications materials and build productive relationships with clients, journalists and wider stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the daily delivery of corporate communications and media-relations accounts.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and understand their commercial and reputational priorities.
- Develop account plans, campaign schedules and communications programmes.
- Draft press releases, statements, executive briefings, opinion pieces and corporate messaging.
- Identify media opportunities and pitch stories, interviews and thought-leadership content.
- Respond to media enquiries and support client press-office activity.
- Build relationships with journalists, editors and relevant industry media.
- Monitor news, emerging issues and reputational risks affecting clients.
- Prepare media coverage reports, campaign evaluations and client updates.
- Coordinate interviews, corporate announcements, events and stakeholder communications.
- Work with digital, public affairs and creative colleagues on integrated campaigns.
- Manage project timelines and budgets while maintaining high standards of client service.
- Support and guide Account Executives across research, monitoring and campaign delivery.
- Contribute to proposals, tenders and new-business pitches.
Experience and capabilities
Candidates should have:
- Relevant experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations or reputation management.
- Experience gained within a communications agency, consultancy or relevant in-house team.
- Strong writing and editing skills across different communications formats.
- A good understanding of the Irish media landscape.
- Experience pitching stories and developing relationships with journalists.
- The ability to manage multiple accounts, projects and deadlines.
- Strong client-service and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- The judgement required to work on sensitive or high-profile issues.
- An interest in Irish business, economic and current affairs.
Experience in crisis communications, financial PR, public affairs, ESG or regulated sectors would be advantageous.
