Job summary

The Public Sector Organisation in Dublin 2 is seeking 2 Public Procurement Specialists on permanent contracts. Aimed at experienced procurement experts, the role involves advising on documentation, timelines and criteria for tenders, and sitting on evaluation panels when appropriate.

You will work independently and coordinate with colleagues across levels to maintain compliant procurement processes and governance. Excellent knowledge of EU procurement rules is essential.

Qualifications

• EU Public Procurement expertise required.
• Minimum 5 years in public service procurement.
• Advising on correct procurement documentation and timelines.
• Experience sitting on evaluation panels is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and annually review the 3-year Corporate Procurement Plan under the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies.
• Conduct spend analysis for inclusion in the Corporate Procurement Plan.
• Report to Finance and Compliance Committee on procurement deliverables.
• Report to various Committees on procurement matters.
• Review procurement procedures to capture EU rules and guidance.
• Provide guidance to staff on procurement queries and mechanisms.
• Assist budget holders in drafting Invitation to Tender documents.
