Job summary

Sanderson is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join its public procurement team on a permanent basis with hybrid working. You will lead procurement projects, ensuring compliance with Irish and EU regulations while delivering value for money across a diverse organisation.

  • Proven procurement experience within a public sector or regulated procurement environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish and EU public procurement legislation.
  • Ideally education will include degree and a public procurement qualification.
  • Experience managing complex tendering processes from initiation through to contract award.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience developing procurement strategies and delivering value for money outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement projects while maintaining high standards of governance and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement and tendering activities across supply, services and construction works categories.
  • Manage contract negotiations while ensuring transparency, fairness and compliance throughout the procurement process.
  • Ensure full compliance with Irish and EU public procurement legislation, together with internal procurement policies and governance requirements.
  • Manage the end-to-end sourcing and tendering process, including: Reviewing and refining tender specifications.
  • Developing sourcing and negotiation strategies.
  • Publishing competitions on eTenders and managing the process from start to finish.
  • Managing clarification processes.
  • Supporting evaluations and moderation meetings.
  • Issuing letters of regret, intent, standstill and acceptance.
  • Support the delivery of strategic procurement objectives, driving efficiency and value for money across the organisation.
  • Manage supplier engagement from project initiation through to contract award.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing and enhancing procurement policies, procedures and practices.
  • Deliver measurable procurement outcomes across cost, quality, compliance and risk.

Permanent position, hybrid working

A leading semi-state organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join its Procurement team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong public sector procurement expertise to play a key role in delivering compliant, effective and value-driven procurement activity across a diverse organisation. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will support and lead procurement projects while ensuring full compliance with Irish and EU public procurement regulations.
