Job summary

Comer Group Ireland is recruiting a Full Time Property Maintenance/Handyman to support the Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow region. The role is based out of Tallaght Cross East with movement across multiple properties.

You will work closely with the Group Maintenance Manager to carry out plumbing, carpentry, electrical and general building fabric tasks, ensuring safety, code compliance and timely responses to issues.

Qualifications

• Industrial or commercial experience required.
• 2–3 years in a similar role preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Fast learner with ability to work on own initiative.
• Flexibility and valid driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain multiple residential and commercial blocks across Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow.
• Identify and report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager.
• Inspect systems for safety, functionality and code compliance.
• Respond to safety concerns and emergencies as needed.
• Travel between sites within the assigned region.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical and building fabric tasks.
• Prepare cost estimates for supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate with Property Managers to log and resolve issues promptly.

Job description

Comer Group Ireland, one of Ireland's largest private landlords, are seeking a Full Time Property Maintenance/Handyman to join our Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow Region Maintenance Team.

This role will be based out of Tallaght Cross East but requires movement to work across multiple residential and commercial blocks, completing maintenance works in multiple properties.

Responsibilities

• Continuous communication and interaction with the Group Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Team
• Identify and report preventative maintenance issues to the Group Maintenance Manager
• Inspecting and testing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance
• To respond to and attend all building related safety concerns
• Maintain compliance with all company building and maintenance standards
• Regular communication with Property Managers to ensure all maintenance issues logged are resolved in a timely, efficient and safe manner
• Troubleshooting and resolving utilities systems issues
• Assist in specifying proper supplies and equipment for operationsPreparing cost estimates
• To respond to emergency situations and call outs when necessary
• To travel between sites and locations in the relevant assigned region
• Repair and maintenance in residential and commercial property.
• Plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical and building fabric skills and experience.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve building related issues efficiently.
