Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a hands-on facilities maintenance professional to perform general maintenance across commercial sites. The role requires a practical, independent mindset and the ability to handle a variety of tasks including carpentry, plumbing and basic electrical work.

The successful candidate will maintain safety standards, coordinate with the property management team and external contractors, and contribute to the smooth operation of multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in a general maintenance/handyman role.
• Strong all-round maintenance skills across carpentry, plumbing and general repairs.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Ability to manage workload and work independently.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work on commercial buildings (interior and exterior).
• Carry out basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, tiling, and minor electrical work.
• Respond to maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential problems.
• Liaise with the property management team and external contractors where necessary.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
