Job summary

Comer Group Ireland seeks a Full Time General Operative to join the Kildare and Wicklow Region Maintenance Team. The role is based out of Tallaght Cross East and involves moving across multiple residential and commercial blocks to perform maintenance works.

You will work closely with the Group Maintenance Manager, inspect systems for safety, respond to safety concerns, and ensure compliance with building standards. A full clean driving licence is required and travel is expected across the region.

Qualifications

• Industrial or Commercial experience.
• 2-3 years in a similar role is preferable.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building systems across multiple properties.
• Communicate with Maintenance Manager and team to log issues.
• Inspect systems for safety, functionality and code compliance.
• Respond promptly to safety concerns and emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with company building standards.
• Coordinate with Property Managers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Travel between sites within the region as required.
• Prepare cost estimates for maintenance works.

Comer Group Ireland, one of Ireland's largest private landlords, are seeking a Full Time General Operative to join our Kildare and Wicklow Region Maintenance Team.

This role will be based out of Tallaght Cross East but requires movement to work across multiple residential and commercial blocks, completing maintenance works in multiple properties.

Responsibilities

• Continuous communication and interaction with the Group Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Team
• Identify and report preventative maintenance issues to the Group Maintenance Manager
• Inspecting and testing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance
• To respond to and attend all building related safety concerns
• Maintain compliance with all company building and maintenance standards
• Regular communication with Property Managers to ensure all maintenance issues logged are resolved in a timely, efficient and safe manner
• Troubleshooting and resolving utilities systems issues
• Assist in specifying proper supplies and equipment for operations
• Preparing cost estimatesTo respond to emergency situations and call outs when necessary
• To travel between sites and locations in the relevant assigned region

Experience Required

• Industrial or Commercial experience
• Ideally 2-3 years' experience in a similar role

• Fast learner and ability to work on own initiative
