Job summary

CPL Healthcare is assisting a leading Galway manufacturing organisation to recruit a Projects & Sustainability Manager. The role combines project management, sustainability leadership, and operational excellence to drive environmental initiatives and long-term goals across the business.

You will lead key projects, collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Health & Safety teams, and deliver improvements that reduce waste and enhance efficiency.

• Oversee CAPEX projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Technical, and Health & Safety teams.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and environmental awareness.
• Deliver training and guidance on sustainability best practices.
• Support compliance with environmental standards, legislation, and certification requirements.
• Drive waste reduction, process optimisation, and productivity improvements.

About the Opportunity

I am currently partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation in Galway that is seeking an experienced Projects & Sustainability Manager to join its team. This is a high-impact role that combines project management, sustainability leadership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will lead key business projects while driving environmental initiatives and supporting long-term sustainability goals across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sustainability initiatives and environmental improvement programmes across the business.
• Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and improve operational efficiency.

• Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Technical, and Health & Safety teams.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and environmental awareness.
• Deliver training and guidance on sustainability best practices.
• Support compliance with environmental standards, legislation, and certification requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Experience managing projects within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Experience

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, Environmental Sustainability, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading sustainability, ESG, or environmental programmes.
• CAPEX project management experience.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and AutoCAD.
• Experience managing supplier and contractor relationships.
