Job summary

Arlington NOVAS Ireland CLG is seeking a Project Worker to support the homelessness services across Limerick, Dublin, Clare, Kerry and Tipperary. Working 40 hours weekly, the role offers a mix of indefinite and fixed-term contracts within a trauma-informed, respectful service for single adults, couples and families at risk of homelessness.

Applicants should hold a Level 7 Social Care qualification or CORU eligibility and have experience with homelessness or related social care groups, plus

  • Professional qualification in Social Care or CORU-eligible as a Social Care Worker.
  • Experience in working with homeless or social care groups.
  • Ability to understand complex needs of vulnerable clients and promote dignity and independence.
  • Administration skills for record keeping and report writing; computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of care planning, needs assessment, risk management and key working.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.

Project Worker Service: NOVAS ServicesLocation: Limerick, Dublin, Clare, Kerry, Tipperary Duration: Indefinite Duration, Fixed Term Contract Hours:40 hours per week Salary Range from: €38,465 to €45,546 pro rata per annum Post Reference No: HR2026PW


Arlington NOVAS Ireland CLG is a not for profit organisation and Approved Housing Body. We work with single adults, couples and families who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. We provide a range of support services and accommodation. We have over 300 staff, and more than 30 services in Limerick, Dublin, Clare, Kerry, Cork and Tipperary including residential homeless services, social housing and community based services for tenancy sustainment, homelessness prevention, mental health and recovery. NOVAS is a Trauma Informed practice organisation and the principles of collaboration, diversity, respect and trust are embedded in our way of working together. Our services are provided through support of our partners in local government through the Local Authorities, HSE, and other donors and funders


Desirable Skills and Knowledge (Please see Job Description for complete Person Specification)



  • Professional Qualification in Social Care or related allied health professions, minimum level 7 (full major award) or eligibility to register with CORU as a Social Care Worker.

  • Experience in working with people who are homeless or with other social care groups.

  • Ability to understand complex needs of vulnerable clients and provide services that foster dignity, respect and independence.

  • Administration skills for record keeping and report writing and computer literacy.

  • Have an understanding of care and case management protocols including care planning, needs assessment, risk management & assessment, incident management & prevention and key working.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
