Eden Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Project Officer on an 11-month contract in Ireland to support cancer, rare diseases, clinical trials, personalised medicine, and related data activities. The role involves collaboration with a Programme Manager and administration of portfolio grants across multiple initiatives.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team, coordinating reports, grants administration, and European partnerships work, including the Rare Disease National Mirror Group

Qualifications

  • At least three years’ experience in a research environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines.
  • High degree of computer literacy including Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Assist supporting the All-Ireland Cancer Consortium Scheme.
  • Issue and analyse bi-annual reports and support administration of existing grants such as the Clinical Trials Research Networks and Rare Disease Catalyst and Innovation Grant.
  • Assist with work related to the European Partnerships including on Rare Disease and Personalised Medicine and support the Rare Disease National Mirror Group as required by the Programme Manager.

Job description

On behalf of our Public Sector client, we are hiring a Project Officer on an 11 month contract.

The appointee will support work on cancer, rare diseases, clinical trials, personalised medicine, secondary data analysis and infrastructures by working alongside a Programme Manger who oversees the portfolio. They will also work on administration of existing portfolio grants including bi-annual reports and analysis and specific tasks related to the European partnerships in co-ordination with the Programme Manager.

The Project Officer role is team-based, therefore teamwork and effective collaboration with others are crucial.

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist supporting the All-Ireland Cancer Consortium Scheme

Essential knowledge and experience
Formal requirements
  • The successful candidate must have at least three years’ experience in a research environment, demonstrating strong technical expertise as well as analytical and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to work independently while contributing to a team are essential.
  • Prior experience in a research environment
  • High degree of computer literacy, including knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
