Job summary

Alpine Recruitment Group represents an established construction client seeking a seasoned Civil Project Manager in Wexford to take full operational, commercial, and safety accountability for complex civil engineering builds from pre-construction through to handover.

You will drive delivery, manage timelines and multi-disciplinary teams, and own budgets and client interfaces, ensuring compliance with safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8+ years of project management experience on complex civil/infrastructure contracts.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Chartership advantageous.
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and safety-focused delivery.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery of high-value civil contracts, managing timelines and interfaces.

Job description

Our client is an established construction company

They wish to appoint seasoned Civil Project Manager in Wexford who will assume full operational, commercial, and safety accountability for complex civil engineering builds from pre-construction through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Drive the delivery of high-value civil contracts, managing project timelines, engineering teams, and client interfaces.
• Programme Management: Build, update, and manage critical paths using MS Project or Primavera P6 to minimise delays and ensure deadlines are met.
• Financial Accountability: Take ownership of project profit and loss (P&L), working closely with the commercial team to monitor budgets and variations.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface for local authorities, client representatives, design consultants, and statutory bodies.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 6–8+ years of successful project management experience leading complex civil, infrastructure, or groundworks contracts.
• Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Chartership (Engineers Ireland / CIOB) is highly advantageous.
• Leadership Traits: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary engineering desks and sub-contractor workforces safely.
