Job summary

Alpine Recruitment Group is sourcing a seasoned Civil Project Manager for a Waterford-based role. You will assume full operational, commercial, and safety accountability for complex civil engineering builds from pre-construction to handover.

Responsibilities include delivering high-value contracts, managing schedules with MS Project or Primavera P6, controlling project P&L, and coordinating with authorities, clients, and design teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8+ years of successful project management experience leading complex civil, infrastructure, or groundworks contracts.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Chartership (Engineers Ireland / CIOB) is highly advantageous.
• Leadership track record of managing multi-disciplinary engineering desks and subcontractor workforces safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Drive the delivery of high-value civil contracts, managing project timelines, engineering teams, and client interfaces.
• Programme Management: Build, update, and manage critical paths using MS Project or Primavera P6 to minimise delays and ensure deadlines are met.
• Financial Accountability: Take ownership of project profit and loss (P&L), working closely with the commercial team to monitor budgets and variations.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface for local authorities, client representatives, design consultants, and statutory bodies.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 6–8+ years of successful project management experience leading complex civil, infrastructure, or groundworks contracts.
• Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Chartership (Engineers Ireland / CIOB) is highly advantageous.
• Leadership Traits: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary engineering desks and sub-contractor workforces safely.
