Job summary

Vertiv Ireland Limited is expanding its manufacturing and engineering operations in Letterkenny, Burnfoot and Derry, hiring two Project Engineer Electrical Engineers to design and develop modular data center buildings and associated power solutions.

You will work on Electrical, Fire Alarm and Controls systems during factory integration and collaborate with multiple disciplines to meet demanding requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master's in electrical engineering.
• 1+ years on similar positions.
• Strong English language skills (B2) and proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, EPLAN).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design team to develop construction documentation and BoMs.
• Provide engineering supervision and support during module fabrication and commissioning.
• Assist service teams and subcontractors, ensure build quality and compliance with standards.
• Contribute feedback during design reviews and coordinate with project stakeholders.

Vertiv is expanding its manufacturing, engineering, and support operations in Letterkenny (Co. Donegal), Burnfoot (Co. Donegal), and Derry (Northern Ireland), creating over 200 jobs by mid-2026 to meet AI-driven demand. The Letterkenny site specializes in designing and manufacturing customized, pre-fabricated modular data center buildings and power solutions. We are seeking two Project Engineer Electrical Engineers to join the team

POSITION SUMMARY

Designing and developing modular buildings for customized solutions in accordance with highest standards and demanding requests. Electrical design on projects (Electrical, Fire Alarm and Controls systems) during factory integration in Letterkenny Integration with other disciplines; architectural, structural, mechanical. Focus on general design, concepts, calculation, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cooperation with the design team in the development of CD (construction documentation) sets Preparation of manufacturing documentation Preparing BoMs for installation material and non-critical equipment Engineering supervision and support when equipping modules at the factory (Letterkenny) Engineering support to service team and subcontractors Involvement during the design stage trough content and constructability review, responsible for providing feedback (comments) into the design community. Collaboration with local service and with the company operations team (project management, quality control, manufacturing, testing team and construction) in defining a project deployment strategy and executing the project Responsible for: As Built Documentation FAT procedures (L3) Installation manuals Assisting with Punch list items Etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor or master's in electrical engineering Required experience 1+ years on similar positions Active user of: Windows, MS Office incl. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD Proficient modeling skills required, preferred: Revit; EPLAN Strong knowledge of English language, (B2) Establishing Effective Teamwork Communicating Effectively Analysis, problem solving and decision making Providing Customer Service Drive and Sense of Urgency Demonstrating Ethics and Integrity
