The Company

This specialist fire protection contractor delivers engineered sprinkler and fire protection systems for major projects across Ireland and Europe, with particularly strong experience in the data centre sector.

Operating from its headquarters in Co Westmeath, the company provides design, engineering, fabrication, installation and commissioning capabilities in-house and has experience delivering technically demanding fire protection packages in critical environments.

The Role: Project Engineer

This Project Engineer position will focus on a major data centre project in Co Dublin, while working as part of the wider engineering team based from Westmeath.

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will coordinate the delivery of the fire protection package, working closely with design, installation, client and site teams.

You will be involved in drawings, procurement, programme, technical coordination and installation, helping ensure the sprinkler package is delivered safely, correctly and in line with a demanding data centre programme.

You will be a Mechanical Engineer with good site awareness and the ability to coordinate technical works in a busy data centre environment.

You should be comfortable dealing with drawings, mechanical services, subcontractors and programme requirements while maintaining clear communication between the site, design and project teams.

Previous sprinkler experience is desirable rather than essential, provided you have a solid mechanical engineering background and are interested in developing within specialist fire protection.

Data centre fire protection is a technically demanding area of mechanical engineering, with strict requirements around coordination, reliability, testing and commissioning.

This role provides direct exposure to a major Dublin data centre project while giving you access to an experienced in-house engineering and fire protection team. It is a strong move for a Mechanical Engineer looking to build specialist data centre experience without moving away from hands-on project delivery.
