Job summary

EMBS Talent Group is representing a well-established Irish contractor seeking a Project Director to cost, own and deliver renewables projects end to end in Ireland. The role targets a main contractor background with numbers and risk experience, not just programme delivery.

You’ll oversee commercial control, lead client relationships, and drive value across solar and BESS schemes on grid connection sites.

Qualifications

• A contractor pedigree — you've delivered, not just consulted.
• Proven costing and P&L ownership on renewables or T&D projects.
• Solar and/or BESS delivery experience (substation knowledge a strong plus).
• The technical understanding to challenge design and drive value.
• Leadership that keeps clients coming back.

The renewables pipeline is moving fast — and we're looking for a Project Director who can cost it, own it, and deliver it end to end.

This is a role for someone from a main contractor background who's carried the numbers and the risk, not just the programme.

About the company

Our client is a well-established and ambitious Irish contractor building out a dedicated renewables delivery division. This is a genuine "first in" leadership opportunity — you'll help shape how the division is run, win the confidence of clients from the ground up, and put your stamp on a growing pipeline of solar and BESS projects rather than inheriting someone else's playbook.
